The music is all retrowave too. If that's a thing you like, then you'll love Blood Dragon. There are other reasons to like it too. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, constantly making fun of 80's action movies, the Far Cry series, and just making jokes in general. Personally, I found 3 and 4 to be way too serious all the time.
The pistol is kind of weak. Which is a damn shame because it's Robocop's gun. Just remember to remove the silencer which ruins the sound and muzzle flare. There were countless times the action music would simply end right after a heavy engagement and the character would say his duke-nukumish-but-better one-liners. About Far Cry 3 and 4. I can't say about Far Cry 4, but I literally bought 2 days ago Farcry 3, Blood Dragon and Far Cry 5, and I ran over the same issue as you. The issue is the optimization to Windows 10. I assume you should be fine with Far cry 4 since it's a more recent game, but if you run into these issues again, try these same steps.
