Add a Comment. I think that the iPhone 13 would be a step up from the iPhone 8. If the issue was just the battery, then I would say that the Apple store can swap out a battery for about 50 bucks, but it sounds like there are other issues. I found that Woot .com has a refurbished gsm iPhone 8 for about $148, as well as other refurbished iPhones.
For the last few months, when I place the phone on its charger and turn it off, it will turn back on, usually within seconds or minutes. I use an extension cord to also charge my Apple Watch, but this happens even when the Watch charger isn't plugged in. Anyone with similar issue and/or solution? iPhone SE. Even when the phone is charging, the phone will automatically overheat itself. Other issues would be not being able to connect to mobile data making it buffer which leads to overheating as well. Other than it being slightly slower, the phone is fine and running apps great for a 4 years old iPhone. 4. WillDBE.
There are two Android phones going the user replaceable components; fairphone and teracube with hopefully more to follow just so you are aware of alternatives. A replacement battery is cheap and easy to install yourself. Or drop 800-900+ $ for 5G, water rating, wireless charging, screen notch or an iphone 😱. My OnePlus 7 Pro today is by far much better than what it was new 3½ years ago. DEFINITELY WORTH IT IN 2022.
I'd bet that a vast majority of people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a 2018 and 2021 11-inch iPad Pro. Certainly is, battery life is great, cameras too. Yes the newer phones have better displays (AM/OLED) but it's a lot to pay for a 'blacker' imo. If you're an iSheep then you'll think any promo'd update/upgrade is worth the spend. The i11 will be supported for a number of years to come and there's a good reason for that.

Apps. They feel a bit better integrated with iOS. ALmost every single app from Android has it's equivalent in iOS. Gallery. IMHO in Android, there was more freedom. You can't just copy/paste a file to an iPhone and use a folder as a gallery. Also, it's not easy to arrange all of the files. Battery.
